What this notice covers

Unless specifically identified otherwise, copyrightable original material created by Mayflower Studios and published on this website or distributed through Mayflower Studios projects is owned by or licensed to Mayflower Studios. Protected material may include:

• Website source code, scripts, layouts, interfaces, original databases, and original data compilations.
• Desktop programs, executables, games, mods, tools, utilities, source code, and project-specific assets.
• Photographs, artwork, drawings, illustrations, icons, graphics, promotional images, and visual designs.
• Stories, articles, documentation, instructions, descriptions, dialogue, and other original writing.
• Original audio, video, animations, branding artwork, and other creative media.

A browser being able to display, cache, or save a file does not grant permission to republish, redistribute, sell, modify and redistribute, or claim ownership of that material.

Software is licensed, not released into the public domain

Unless a specific project states a different license, downloading Mayflower Studios software gives you permission to use that software under the Software License in our Terms. It does not transfer copyright ownership to you.

In particular, a free download is still copyrighted. “Free” means no purchase price is required; it does not mean the program, source, artwork, or bundled assets may be copied and redistributed freely.

Images, photographs & artwork

Original images displayed by Mayflower Studios are not stock assets for unrestricted reuse. Do not repost, reproduce, sell, print for distribution, remove attribution or ownership information, use as another product’s artwork, or create a redistributable asset pack from them without permission, unless applicable law gives you that right.

If an image or asset is credited to another creator, game, service, or rights holder, that credit and the applicable third-party rights control. Mayflower Studios does not claim copyright in material owned by somebody else.

No scraping or AI-training license

Except where applicable law prevents the restriction, Mayflower Studios does not grant permission to scrape or bulk-download its original protected works for reuse, create image/text/code datasets from them, or use those works to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate, or supply generative-AI or machine-learning systems without prior written permission.

What you may do

You may browse the public site, use its features normally, and download software through the download options Mayflower Studios intentionally provides, subject to the Terms. Ordinary personal links to our public pages are welcome.

If you want to feature a project, reproduce an image, distribute a program, use an asset in another project, include our work in media, or obtain another kind of license, contact us first. Permission must be in writing and may include project-specific conditions.

Mayflower Studios name & branding

Do not use the Mayflower Studios name, logos, project branding, or a confusingly similar presentation in a way that falsely suggests that another project, download, account, website, or service is official, sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Mayflower Studios.

User content & third-party material

This notice does not claim ownership of original content submitted by users. Users retain their rights as described in the Terms. Likewise, third-party games, trademarks, libraries, APIs, media, and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners and may be governed by separate licenses.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material available through Mayflower Studios infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, send a clear notice identifying the copyrighted work, the specific Mayflower Studios URL or material you believe is infringing, your contact information, and enough detail for us to understand the claim. We may ask for additional information needed to evaluate or respond to the report.
